The Egyptian Minister of Petroleum Tarek El Molla and Terry He, President of Huawei International for the North Africa Region, witnessed the signing of 3 cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding between the petroleum sector and Huawei Technologies Egypt.
A statement issued, Wednesday, explained that the agreements aim to support the training of young cadres in the oil and gas sectors, as well as contribute to providing smart solutions and supporting digital transformation, in addition to using solar energy solutions to operate oil field wellheads.
The first agreement aims to launch cooperation between the Ministry and the company to implement on-the-job training programs and develop the skills of human cadres selected through the program for qualifying young and medium-sized leaders in the sectors.
The two memorandums of understanding also include cooperation between the two parties regarding the frameworks of work in the areas of providing smart solutions and data centers for oil and gas facilities, and supplying solar energy and batteries storage, which supplies energy to wellheads at production sites.
