The Egyptian pavilion at Tourism Expo Japan 2019 witnessed a high turnout during the first day of its inauguration.

The pavilion's visitors lauded its modern design which offered various activities including Takht music and drawing by henna as well as child activities like coloring which attracted many visitors. They were keen on taking many photos at the pavilion.

It also promoted the coming inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), which is one of the main elements of Egypt's promotional campaigns. The promotion comes in light of Japan's great interest in this cultural edifice.

It is worth noting that Tourism Minister Dr. Rania Al-Mashat opened the 153-meter-pavilion in the presence of Chairman of the Egyptian Tourism Authority (ETA) Ahmed Youssef and Deputy Chief of the Diplomatic Mission in Tokyo Minister Plenipotentiary Hany El Nashar.

This year, ETA increased the area of the Egyptian pavilion 50% to allow more companies to partake in it. EgyptAir and other eight Egyptian companies participated in the pavilion.

The 2019 edition of Tourism Expo Japan, one of the largest tourism annual events in the world, is being held at INTEX Osaka, Osaka from October 24 to 27. It is organized by the Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA).
