Run-off for the second stage of Egypt's House of Representatives elections has kicked off on Monday, amid tightened precautionary measures to curb the spread of Coronavirus pandemic.
In this stage, 202 candidates compete for the remaining 101 seats.
The governorates of the second stage are Cairo, Qalioubiya, Daqahliya, Menoufiya, Gharbiya, Kafr El-Sheikh, Sharqiya, Damietta, Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, North Sinai, and South Sinai.
Egypt’s Ministry of Interior has finished all security preparations needed to secure the parliament elections run-off through a comprehensive security plan.
It is worth mentioning that, last Monday, the National Elections Authority (NEA) announced the results of the run-off of the parliamentary elections' first stage held earlier this month.
