Egypt's Mufti Receives Malaysian Delegation

Professor Dr. Nazir Ayyad, Egypt's Grand Mufti and President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, welcomed a high-level Malaysian delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs of Sarawak to discuss strengthening collaboration between the two sides.

He highlighted the Egyptian-Malaysian historic ties and the productive cooperation in training muftis and countering extremist ideologies.

Dr. Nazir also emphasized the importance of leveraging modern technologies, including artificial intelligence, to enhance fatwa services. From their part, the Malaysian delegation expressed gratitude for the warm reception and praised Egypt’s Dar Al-Ifta for its pioneering global role.

They also voiced their aspiration to deepen partnership in training programs and advancing fatwa-related efforts.
