Egypt's Grand Mufti, Dr. Shawki Allam affirmed that the Egyptian political leadership spares no effort in defending the rights of the Palestinian people and supporting their quest for an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

He emphasized Egypt's ongoing, diligent work to halt the war machine and put an end to the inhuman and barbaric Israeli attacks on Palestinian territories and the Gaza Strip. Dr. Allam described these atrocities as a stain on the forehead of humanity, adding that they contribute to the series of Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people and the blatant violation of international laws and humanitarian principles. He lamented the complete silence from the international community in response to these actions.

In conclusion, Egypt's Mufti called on the wise people of the world, the international community, and their respective organizations and bodies to intervene immediately and decisively. He urged them to stop the savage Israeli attacks on Palestinians and civilian structures, emphasizing the need to end the collective punishment imposed by the occupation in response to the Palestinians' legitimate demands for their rights.
