In his keynote speech at Uzbekistan's international conference titled "Islam: A Religion of Peace and Kindness", held from October 15 to 16, Dr. Nazir Ayyad, Grand Mufti of Egypt and President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, highlighted Islam’s commitment to peace, goodness, and coexistence through its foundational texts.
He discussed the challenges posed by globalization, stressing the need for religious institutions to address its negative effects while promoting authentic Islamic values.
Dr. Ayyad emphasized the importance of intercultural dialogue, peaceful cooperation, and renewing religious discourse to combat extremism and support global harmony. He concluded by reaffirming Dar Al-Ifta's commitment to initiatives fostering peace and understanding.
