In celebration of World Kidney Day, Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population illuminated its headquarters in the New Administrative Capital in blue and red, reaffirming its commitment to promoting kidney health.
The initiative, carried out in collaboration with the Egyptian Society of Nephrology and Transplantation and the National Kidney Foundation, aims to raise awareness about the importance of kidney disease prevention, early detection, and adopting a healthy lifestyle to reduce the risk of kidney-related illnesses.
The Health Ministry emphasized the need for regular check-ups and public education campaigns to encourage early diagnosis and treatment. The event is part of a broader national effort to combat chronic kidney disease, which continues to be a major public health concern in Egypt and globally.
World Kidney Day, observed annually, highlights the importance of kidney health and advocates for accessible treatment and prevention strategies worldwide.
