Egypt, Spain Discuss Enhancing Cooperation in Industrialization, Trade

Egypt's Minister of Trade and Industry Nevin Gamea met on Wednesday with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and his accompanying delegation to discuss opportunities for cooperation between both countries, to pump up more Spanish investments.

In her speech at Spanish-Egyptian Business Forum, Gamea indicated that Spain sees Egypt as a promising market with geopolitical and geo-economic importance and discussed how to make Spanish companies be more familiar with Egyptian markets so that they can make use of Egypt as a regional and African hub of their business.

"We look forward to enhanced cooperation with the Spanish government and its private sector as well," Gamea revealed.

Earlier, Sánchez also underscored the mutual understanding between the two countries on the need to advance bilateral relations in industry and trade.

It's worth mentioning that the Spanish Prime Minister is paying a two-day official visit to Cairo, leading a high-profile government delegation, as well as a group of businessmen and CEOs of major Spanish companies.
