Egypt's Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hany Sewilam met on Monday with an advisor to the UN General Assembly President to discuss the outcome of the UN water conference that took place in March 2023 in New York.
During the meeting, the minister said that Egypt and Japan would organize a high-level session on the sidelines of the Sixth Cairo Water Week to discuss the outcome of the water and climate dialogue.
Sewilam, who arrived in the Swedish capital on Sunday, also discussed with the UN official the preparations for the coming summit of the UN General Assembly for SDGs.
The meeting was held in Stockholm on the margins of the World Water Week, which addresses the most important issues of water.
Sewilam is scheduled to meet with several irrigation ministers and senior officials from various regional and international organizations concerned with water.
