Hassan Al-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade laid the foundation stone for the Japanese company Otsuka for the manufacture of health nutrients in the 10 of Ramadan city.
The minister said that this project represents the fruit of continuous economic cooperation between the two countries, and reflects Egypt's commitment to providing an open and dynamic investment environment, capable of competing globally.
Al-Khatib added that Otsuka is one of the largest Japanese companies operating in the Egyptian market in the field of manufacturing medicines, food supplements, healthy drinks and innovative storage solutions, since 1977.
He pointed out that the factory has been working in the field of manufacturing medical solutions with a total investment of one billion pounds in the industrial zone in the tenth of Ramadan.
The minister noted that the company's new project aims to manufacture health nutrients and the beginning of its production is the Oranamin C product, pointing out that this project targets export to the countries of Africa and the Arabian Gulf.
The project has received great attention and support from the Egyptian government and the political leadership since its inception, and the state was keen to give the company the golden license to facilitate all measures to implement this project.
