The value of Egypt's imports of passenger cars fell during the first two months of 2023 to about $173,278 million, compared to about $597,799 million during the same two months of 2022, a decline of 71%.
The value of Egypt's imports of other cars amounted to about $119 million, and the value of imports of spare parts and parts for means of transportation amounted to about $289 million.
The value of Egypt’s imports of car vehicles for private use decreased to about $16,121 million during the first two months of this year, compared to $32,894 million during the same two months of 2022, a decline of 51%, and of goods transport vehicles, to reach $25,466 million, compared to $103,951 million, a decrease of 75.5%. .
The bulletin noted that the value of Egypt's import bill of external tires and internal tubes for transportation decreased by 23.6%, to record $87,441 million compared to $114,528 million, and car parts by 31.3%, to reach $93,131 million compared to $135,483 million.
The value of Egypt's imports of buses, microbuses and minibuses as complete units declined to about $1,266 million compared to $1,312 million, a decrease of 3.5%, and of tractors as complete units, amounting to $23,934 million compared to $38,244 million, a decrease of 37.4%.
