EDINBURGH, Feb. 4 (SEE) – Egyptian squash champion Hania El-Hammamy won the 2019 Edinburg Sports Club Squash Open.
The 18-year-old Egyptian met USA’s Olivia Blatchford Clyne in the final, winning the match 3-0.
El-Hammamy took both opening games 11-5. The third one required more effort as her rival worked hard. However, El-Hammamy did not permit going for a fourth and won the third 11-8.

In this regard the champion
commented, “I think I controlled the first two games well, but the third was
really close and I had to work hard to stay ahead, I really did not want to go
to a fourth.”
Worth noting is that this is the third,
and biggest, Professional Squash Association (PSA)’s title achieved by
El-Hammamy.
“I think I have played well this
week, it will give confidence going into some important tournaments coming up.
And it is my biggest PSA win, so I’m really happy!”
