Egypt’s Grand Mufti and President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, Dr. Nazir Mohammed Ayyad, offered warm congratulations on Wednesday to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Dr. Ahmed al-Tayyeb, as well as the Egyptian people and Arab and Islamic nations on the occasion of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday.
In a statement, Ayyad said the commemoration revives the Prophet’s timeless values of mercy, justice, and brotherhood, urging Muslims to follow his example of sincerity, dedication, and building cohesive societies.
The Grand Mufti also prayed for Egypt’s continued stability and prosperity and called for relief, security, and an imminent victory for the people of Gaza.
