Dr. Nazir Mohammad Ayyad, Grand Mufti of Egypt, President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, lauded the Egyptian initiative adopted at the emergency Arab summit in Cairo for the reconstruction of Gaza.

He held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, calling on the international community to take urgent action to halt ongoing violations and uphold international legitimacy.
He reaffirmed Dar Al-Ifta’s unwavering support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, considering it a religious, moral, and humanitarian obligation.
Dr. Ayyad concluded by urging Arab and Islamic nations, along with the international community, to intensify their support for the Palestinian people, expedite the delivery of humanitarian aid, and bolster Egyptian efforts to rebuild Gaza, ensuring a definitive end to the recurring Israeli aggression.
