The Egyptian government, under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, has not stopped supporting irregular employment, as a first category of care.

Since the beginning of the Corona pandemic, the government disbursed about 4.586 billion pounds in 6 installments, from April 2020 to March 2021, to irregular laborers.

Moreover, the government has implemented Presidential directives to quickly list and expand the database of irregular workers, which is what the Ministry of Manpower is currently working on, as the number of irregular workers in the ministry's database has reached about 335,000 irregular workers.

The registration will be expanded to reach 2.5 million irregular workers during the current year, by opening the registration and subscription process through the worker himself with a nominal subscription, and not through the contractor only.

On May 1, President Sisi, during his participation in the Labor Day celebration, directed the implementation of a package of measures in favor of protecting irregular employment.
