The Egyptian government declared Thursday an official holiday instead of Monday, May 1, in celebration of Labor Day.
According to Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Thursday, May 4, 2023, will be an official paid holiday for workers in ministries, government agencies, public authorities, local administration units, public sector companies, public business sector companies, and the private sector, instead of Monday corresponding to May 1, 2023.
This international holiday is observed on May 1st. It aims to commemorate the achievements of the labor movement.
