El-Adawy: Egypt Among Countries That Handled COVID-19 Best

Egypt's former Minister of Health and President of the Egyptian Medical Association Dr. Adel El-Adawy insisted that Egypt has a strong infrastructure and a flourishing medical system.

The renowned medical expert mentioned that Egypt’s medical sector has been undergoing reforms in response to the National Plan for the Treatment and Prevention of the C Virus throughout the Republic.

He pointed out that the recent improvements of this magnitude have been possible only as a result of the contributions of the government and initiatives of the President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

In the same connection, El-Adawy noted that Egypt is among the best countries in the world where the Covid-19 pandemic is being handled most effectively thanks to the support of the country's leadership.

"The country maitained its top ranking due to "one of the world’s best vaccination rates" as well as its effective measures that have been implemented and undertaken to combat the COVID-19 pandemic during the crisis," he explained.

One of the major changes in the health sector in implementing the " "Comprehensive Medical Insurance" as well as other health sector development programs sponsored by President El-Sisi is that digitalizing the healthcare system, reorganizing hospital and pharmaceutical services, and improving services in Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, South Sinai, and North Sinai's hospitals, according to the medical expert.

The chairman of the Medical Association shed light on the agenda of the upcoming "Egypt Medical Conference", which will be held on 11th Dec., in partnership with the Egyptian Medical Association, and in presence of high-ranking medical experts and efficient renowned medical specialties.

Also in this regard, El-Adawy said that the upcoming meetings and panels of the conference will be devoted to a discussion of opportunities to further support the development of medical programs and encourage an inclusive approach as well.
