Egypt’s Foreign Ministry Hosts Diplomatic Run to Mark 200th Anniversary

In a symbolic fusion of diplomacy, sport, and humanitarian outreach, Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs marked the 200th anniversary of the country’s first foreign ministry with a high-profile run in the New Administrative Capital on Friday.

The event, organized in coordination with the Egyptian Diplomatic Club, brought together ministry officials, foreign diplomats, and representatives of international organizations accredited in Egypt. The turnout reflected a notable level of engagement from the diplomatic community, with ambassadors and embassy staff joining Egyptian participants in a rare display of informal, cross-cultural interaction outside traditional state settings.

Beyond its commemorative purpose, the run carried a humanitarian dimension.
