Egypt's Foreign Affairs Minister Meets His Indian Counterpart

On Thursday, Badr Abdel Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, met with Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in New York during the high-level segment of the United Nations General Assembly.

During the meeting, Abdel Aati emphasized the strong bilateral relations between Egypt and India, highlighting the recent meetings between the leaders of both countries and the elevation of their relationship to a strategic partnership. 

He also expressed Egypt's desire to further enhance trade and investment relations, facilitate business interactions, and boost trade exchange. Dr. Abdel Aati also commended the progress in cooperation in various fields such as communications, pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and renewable energy, including the launch of a direct flight route between Cairo and New Delhi by EgyptAir.

Furthermore, the ministers acknowledged the similarities in their countries' development priorities and political positions, focusing on achieving international peace and stability and addressing issues important to developing nations. 

They agreed to continue close coordination within multilateral frameworks and through their joint membership in the BRICS group.
