CAIRO, Jan. 19 (SEE) – Egyptian
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Wali
paid a visit to the Arab University in Beirut on Saturday. The University's
President Amr Al-Adawi and the affiliated faculties' deans warmly received Shoukry
and Wali.
The two ministers
are taking part in the fourth edition of the Developmental Economic Summit of
the Arab League due to be held in Lebanon on Sunday.

Shoukry expressed his happiness
to visit the Arab University, describing it as a "pioneering example of
Arab work between Lebanon and Egypt since its establishment in 1960,"
according to a statement issued by the Egyptian foreign minister late Saturday.
The Arab University in Beirut was
established under the auspices of late President Gamal Abdel Nasser.

"Shoukry hailed the
educational and enlightening roles of the university in Lebanon throughout the
past decades," the statement added.
