Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration, Badr Abdelatty  held talks on Friday with Palestinian Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Mustafa, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Turkey.

The meeting focused on Egypt’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to solidify the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the negotiations underway to launch the second phase of the agreement. The two sides also discussed coordinated regional and international support for the Arab-Islamic plan to rebuild Gaza.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Tamim Khalaf said the talks highlighted Egypt’s preparations to co-host an international reconstruction conference, in partnership with the Palestinian government and the United Nations.

The two leaders also addressed the escalating situation in the West Bank, amid repeated Israeli military raids on cities and refugee camps, which have fueled tensions across the occupied territories.

Minister Abdelatty reiterated Egypt’s unequivocal rejection of any forced displacement of Palestinians from their land, affirming Cairo’s commitment to the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people. He emphasized the urgent need to revive a political horizon aimed at achieving a two-state solution, including the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
