Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held a phone call with Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan to discuss regional developments, de-escalation efforts, and the recent incident targeting the vicinity of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant.

During the call, Abdelatty strongly condemned the attack near the Barakah facility, reaffirming Egypt’s full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates and its support for all measures aimed at protecting the country’s security, stability, and national resources.

The two ministers exchanged views on the rapidly evolving regional situation and ongoing diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions and prevent further escalation across the Middle East.

Egypt’s foreign minister stressed Cairo’s longstanding position that the security of the United Arab Emirates and Gulf states remains an integral part of Egypt’s national security.

The discussions also addressed the strong bilateral ties between Egypt and the UAE and the continued expansion of cooperation across political, economic, and strategic sectors.

According to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, the growing partnership between the two countries reflects the close relationship between President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as well as the shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in support of both nations’ interests.

The call comes amid heightened regional tensions and increasing international concern over attacks targeting strategic infrastructure and energy facilities in the Gulf region.
