Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty discussed the latest developments in the U.S.-Iran negotiations and ongoing efforts to reach an agreement between the two sides during a phone call on Friday with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
During the conversation, Abdelatty underscored the importance of maintaining momentum toward a negotiated settlement, expressing hope that the current opportunity would be seized to help end the conflict and support regional stability.
In a related context, Abdelatty also held talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who briefed his Egyptian counterpart on the latest developments in the ongoing negotiations.
The Egyptian foreign minister reaffirmed Cairo’s support for all efforts aimed at reaching an agreement that would contribute to de-escalation, help bring an end to the conflict, serve the interests of all parties, and strengthen regional security and stability.
