Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held a telephone conversation with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, focusing on developments in Gaza and regional diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the ongoing conflict.
During the call, the two ministers exchanged views on bilateral cooperation and current regional priorities, with particular attention to the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza. They reviewed recent consultations held among Arab and Islamic states in New York, which aim to secure an immediate and sustainable ceasefire, ensure unhindered humanitarian aid, and advance joint efforts for a lasting political resolution.
Foreign Minister Abdelatty and his Pakistani counterpart agreed on the importance of coordinated action by the international community, and reaffirmed the need for a political process that brings an end to the violence and paves the way for just and lasting peace in Gaza.
Senator Dar reiterated Pakistan’s strong support for these efforts and noted Islamabad’s positive view of Hamas’ recent response to a proposed peace plan. He described the development as a potential opening toward de-escalation and ending the bloodshed.
In a gesture of strengthening bilateral ties, Senator Dar extended an official invitation to Minister Abdelatty to visit Pakistan in the near future, which the Egyptian Foreign Minister graciously accepted.
Both sides agreed to remain closely engaged and to continue working together in support of regional peace, emphasizing their shared commitment to upholding humanitarian values and international diplomacy.
