Entissar al-Sisi, the spouse of the Egyptian president, said that her meeting with robot "Sophia" and listening to her smart responses is a "new exceptional experience".

Egypt's First lady received Sophia, the most advanced robot, on the sidelines of World Youth Forum (WYF), currently taking place in Sharm Al-Sheikh city.

“I loved her abilities to simulate the mental capabilities of human beings, which represents a turning point in the relationship between humans and robots, as well as a real beginning of a new era for humanity,” Entissar posted on her official Facebook page.

“Welcome in Egypt Sophia,” she added.

She is able to display more than 60 facial expressions.

The robot attended a session at WYF on Monday titled "Artificial Intelligence and Humans.. Who Controls?", in the presence of Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

In her speech before the session, she expressed her happiness to attend WYF, which represents a significant platform for youth, affirming that she is looking forward to sharing her vision with young people.

She explained that robots enhance the service delivery field, saying "I sleep early and wake up early and work effectively. “We work in the field of smart cities, agriculture, education and energy, but we need to set goals and define them.”
