Egypt's Exports Score $406 mln in 2019

United States topped countries importing Egyptian ready-made garments in 2019's first quarter, recording $224 million, compared to $193 million in the same period of 2018.

Exports to the UAE increased by 334 % to reach $7 million in the first three months of 2019 compared to $2 million in the same period in 2018. Canada's imports from Egyptian textiles rose by 84% to reach $5 million.

Egyptian ready-made garments

The Textile Export Council reported that Egypt's ready made garments exports have increased 2% in the first quarter of 2019 to reach $406 million compared to $397 million in the same period of 2018.

Noteworthy, Egypt’s Ready Made Garments Export Council expects that exports will secure $1.7-1.8 million during 2019 with an increase of 12-14 %, according to the Council’s head, Mohamed El-Sayyad.
