The fourth edition of Egypt's Expatriates Conference will commence on Monday, with sessions focused on engaging Egyptian expats in achieving sustainable development in the country.
According to Minister of State for Migration Affairs, Soha el Gendi, the conference will address topics such as the creation of an online portal for Egyptian expats, ways to link scientists living abroad with young researchers at home, and the integration of technological tools in the national curriculums.
Additionally, the conference will discuss expats' role in upcoming elections, political life in Egypt, and youths' representation in parties, parliament, and the state's executive branch.
The role of Egyptian embassies and consulates in serving expats, conscription settlement, the country's economy, banking and monetary policies, imported car customs exemptions, investment opportunities, and the establishment of a shareholding company for Egyptian expats' investments will also be discussed.
The minister also revealed the attendance of over 1,000 Egyptian nationals from 56 countries.
