The Egyptian Embassy in Budapest participated in the annual Diplomatic Charity Fair, organized by the Association of Ambassadors’ Wives and held under the patronage of First Lady of Hungary Nagy Zsuzsanna.
The event was attended by Egypt’s Ambassador to Hungary Ahmed Fahmy and his spouse Noran Aly, highlighting the embassy’s active role in promoting cultural diplomacy.
Mrs. Nagy visited the Egyptian pavilion during the event, expressing admiration for Egypt’s ancient history and extending congratulations on the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, highlighting the country’s cultural and historical significance.
The pavilion offered Egyptian food, beverages, and handcrafted products, attracting significant attention from visitors. In addition, the embassy contributed two discounted airline tickets to Egypt, provided by EgyptAir, as part of the Fair’s prize offerings.
The gesture was met with enthusiasm, reflecting the growing interest of the Hungarian public in Egypt as a prime tourist destination.
The participation of the Egyptian Embassy underscores efforts to promote Egyptian culture and tourism abroad, combining heritage, gastronomy, and artisanal craftsmanship in a diplomatic and charitable setting.
