The Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa will observe the crescent moon of Shawal tonight to mark the beginning of the Eid Al Fitr and the end of Ramadan.
The event of the observation will take place after the Prayer of Al-Maghrib (the sunset) for 30 minutes, and the result of the observation will be announced on the Dar Al Iftaa's social media pages.
The National Research Institute of Astronomy & Geophysics (NRIAG) announced on Friday that the first day of Eid Al Fitr will be on March 30.
According to astronomical studies, the rise of the Shawal Crescent moon will be observed on the Observation Day as it will set after the sunset from 9-12 minutes.
This Ramadan will be a 29-day-month; so Saturday, March 29 will be the final day of Ramadan, and Sunday, March 30 will mark the beginning of Shawal and Eid Al Fitr.
