Egypt's Grand Mufti, Dr. Nazir Ayyad, welcomed on Wednesday a delegation from the World Food Programme (WFP), including Mr. Irving Prado, Dr. Mayar El-Khashen, and Ms. Karen Ataya, to discuss enhancing cooperation in achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and addressing humanitarian challenges.
The meeting highlighted Dar Al-Ifta's commitment to its humanitarian mission, rooted in Islamic teachings of aiding the needy, and WFP's focus on combating hunger and poverty.
Both parties expressed readiness to collaborate on innovative, sustainable solutions for vulnerable communities and agreed to continue joint efforts to achieve shared goals and promote solidarity.
