Egypt's Dar al-Ifta is gearing up for its 9th annual Global Fatwa Conference, organized by the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide. Scheduled for July 29-30 in Cairo and held under the esteemed patronage of Egypt's President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the event will gather prominent muftis, ministers, and scholars from over 100 countries, along with high-level representatives from various international organizations. This year's conference comes under the title "Fatwa and The Ethical Foundation in an Accelerating World".
Dr. Ibrahim Negm, Advisor to the Grand Mufti and Secretary-General of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, emphasized that this year's theme highlights the importance of sound fatwas in establishing a system of principles based on shared human ethics and values. This reflects the commitment of Egypt's Dar al-Ifta and the General Secretariat to enhance global awareness and understanding.
