Egypt’s COVID-19 Recovery Rate Reaches 83.9%

The recovery rate from COVID-19 at Egyptian isolation hospitals has reached 83.9%, after receiving the necessary medical care, according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO).

 

In a statement, the Ministry of Health revealed that the number of people recovering from the virus increased to 345,774 cases.

It is worth mentioning that, Egypt has managed so far to vaccinate around 40.2% of people against the Coronavirus, according to health officials.

The country is also aiming to vaccinate 70% of citizens in the coming period.

Egypt’s vaccination campaign started in January 2021 using various types of imported and locally made vaccines and vaccinating millions of citizens.

About 500,000 citizens received COVID-19 booster shots, especially those with weak immunity.
