The recovery rate from the coronavirus at Egyptian isolation hospitals has reached 84.2%, after the number of people recovering from the virus increased to 246,726 cases, according to the Ministry of Health’s statement.
On Sunday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 481 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 292,957.
The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 16,871 nationwide after the ministry announced 11 deaths.
About 651 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 246,726.
Egypt plans to vaccinate 40 million citizens by the end of the year, representing around 40% of the population.
