Egypt’s national team coach, Hossam El-Badri, revealed the official line-up that will face Comoros in the African Nations Cup qualifiers.
El-Badri decided to give a chance to Al-Ahly forward Mohamed Sherif over Galatasaray’s Mostafa Mohamed and Pyramids Player Omar Gaber.
In the same context, the Pharaohs' coach El Badry made another change in his ordinary starting lineup, calling Zamalek left-back Abdallah Gomaa to replace ALAhly defender Ayman Ashraf.
Although the Egyptian national team has not been at their best during these qualifications, the previous draw against Kenya on Monday ensured that Pharaohs would be present at the finals with one match to spare.
Goalkeeper: Mohamed El-Shennawy
Defenders: Abdallah Gomaa, Ahmed Hegazy, Ali Gabr, Omar Gaber
Midfielders: Amer ELSoulaya, Mohamed el-Nenny, Mohamed Afsha
Attackers: Trezeguet, Salah, Mohamed Sherif
It’s worth mentioning that Comoros started their Group G campaign with a 1-0 win over Togo in November 2019 before drawing back-to-back games against Egypt and Kenya to move onto five points in the AFCON qualifications.
