Convoy trucks of the Egyptian National Alliance for Civil Development Work (NACDW) moved from the city of Al-Arish in northern Sinai towards the Rafah crossing point.
A well-informed source told Russia Today's correspondent in Cairo that this movement is a preparation for what is coming, explaining that the National Alliance convoys received instructions from the Egyptian authorities to move from the city of Al-Arish, north of Sinai, to the city of Rafah, near the crossing point between Egypt and the Gaza Strip.
The source continued, "Aid convoy trucks will wait near the Rafah land border crossing between Egypt and the Gaza Strip, awaiting instructions from the Egyptian security authorities on when to open the crossing."
On the other hand, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi warned during his meeting with French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna against the policy of collective punishment and starvation affecting civilians in the Gaza Strip.
