Egypt's Armed Forces Kill 19 Takfiris in North Sinai

The Egyptian Armed Forces killed 19 takfiris in North Sinai over the past week, The Armed Forces said in a statement on Saturday.

In two military operations, the Armed Forces killed three very dangerous takfiris, who had machine guns, grenades, and RPG ammunition.

Also, the Egyptian Air Forces struck several terrorist hotbeds, killing 16 takfiris.

The Air Forces further targeted two four-wheel-drive vehicles and a warehouse, which contained a large quantity of the explosive devices and logistics equipment for the terrorists.

Military engineers dismantled five explosive devices, which were planted to target the Armed Forces.

Meanwhile, the Border Guard Forces arrested a number of smugglers, who had large quantities of weapons and ammunition, and large amounts of drugs as well as a car laden with a sum of money worth $200,000 at Ahmed Hamdi Tunnel.

"The military operations resulted in martyring and injuring two officers, a non-commissioned officer, and two soldiers," the statement added.

"The operations come as part of efforts exerted by the Armed Forces to eradicate terrorism and maintain Egypt's stability and security," it concluded.
