Egypt’s annual Consumer Price Inflation (CPI) declined from an average of 6.3 percent in October 2021, to an average of 5.6 percent in November, according to the state's statistics body.

In a report released on Thursday by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS), it said "Egypt's annual urban CPI fell to 5.6 percent in November, on an annual basis, from 6.3 percent in October."

The report added: "On a monthly basis, inflation fetched 118 points in November 2021, maintaining the same levels of prices in October 2021."

Overall, the report indicated that the stability in inflation can be attributed to the interaction of economic factors: the increase in the prices of the oils and fats group increased by 13.7 percent, the group of cereals and bread by 3.2 percent, and the group of dairy, cheese.
