International Defense Expo (EDEX 2021) is set to kick off starting November 29 to December 2 in Cairo International Convention and Exhibition Center, where expertise will be exchanged amongst local and international pioneers in the field.
Minister of Defense Mohamed Zaky said the expo will create new horizons of cooperation between Egypt and several countries, as EDEX becomes an effective international venue to showcase the latest military systems, according to an official Sunday statement.
Thomas Gaunt, the managing director of the organizing company Clarion Events, said EDEX 2021 is an enormous gathering of institutions in the field of defense and armament. He added that the turnout to participate in the second edition of EDEX is strong and surpasses that of the first edition.
Major military equipment companies have sponsored EDEX 2021 in its second edition.
More than 400 exhibitors will participate to show the latest technologies in defense and armament. Military delegations and more than 30,000 visitors will attend. All precautionary measures will be applied to ensure participants’ health and safety.
