Egyptians Adopt Safety Measures Amid Coronavirus Fears (Photos)

Thousands of Egyptians are adopting safety and preventive measures amid the widespread of Coronavirus across the globe.

"SEENews" publishes exclusive snapshots for a number of Egyptians who are performing their daily activities wearing medical facemasks to protect themselves against this dreaded virus.

Transmission of the virus between humans happens when someone comes into contact with an infected person’s secretions, such as droplets in a cough.

It can also be transmitted by coming into contact with something an infected person has touched and then touching your mouth, nose or eyes.

It is known that older people appear to be more vulnerable to the effects of the emerging virus.

Egypt's measures to combat Coronavirus

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has allocated L.E. 100 billion to fund the anti-Coronavirus strategy and its related precautionary measures.

Moreover, the country announced the suspension of schools, and universities for two weeks.

It also banned all large community events and gatherings until further notice to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

In addition, the Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli announced on Monday the suspension of all international flights in all the state’s airports over the outbreak of coronavirus, starting next Thursday till March 31.

In a press conference, Madbouli said that all precautionary measures have been taken to face the deadly virus, confirming that the number of civil servants will be decreased over the coming period.

He stated that all hotels and tourist facilities will be sterilized and disinfected during the coming two weeks, in conjunction with the suspension of all tourist flights.

He added that the government will bear the burdens of the potential economic losses in order to protect the lives of the Egyptian people, calling on them to take this seriously and take care of themselves and their children.

The premier also warned against any kind of recklessness in dealing with the current crisis, noting that there is full coordination among all the state’s bodies to fight the deadly virus.

Madbouli also assured the citizens that the state has sufficient supply stocks to deal with the current critical stage.
