During the call, Dr. Abdelatty reiterated Egypt’s strong commitment to enhancing ties with Uzbekistan. He emphasized the importance of advancing cooperation mechanisms and encouraging collaboration between the economic institutions of both countries. The Egyptian minister highlighted the mutual benefits of fostering economic partnerships and exploring new avenues to strengthen political and trade relations.
Dr. Abdelatty also stressed the need to capitalize on the outcomes of the Seventh Session of the Egyptian-Uzbek Joint Committee for Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation, held in December 2024 in Tashkent. The minister pointed to the committee’s work as a foundation for expanding investments, boosting bilateral trade, and facilitating partnerships between private-sector entities in both nations. He proposed the establishment of a Joint Business Council to identify new opportunities for cooperation, underscoring its potential to unlock innovative projects and economic growth.
The conversation further touched on shared global priorities. Dr. Abdelatty expressed Egypt’s deep appreciation for Uzbekistan’s continued support for the Palestinian people and its solidarity with their cause. He commended Uzbekistan's backing of Palestine’s right to establish an independent state, consistent with relevant United Nations resolutions.
