A phone call took place on Monday, between Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates, and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, to consult on the rapid regional developments within the framework of close coordination between the two brotherly nations.
The two ministers praised the depth of the fraternal ties and bilateral relations between their countries.
Moreover, they discussed the latest developments regarding the negotiations between the United States and Iran, with Abdelatty emphasizing the importance of prioritizing the diplomatic path as the sole option to address outstanding issues and spare the region the risks of an expanding conflict.
He also expressed his hope that diplomatic efforts would lead to an agreement that ensures an end to the war and paves the way for restoring regional security and stability.
Furthermore, Abdelatty stressed that any future agreement must take into account the security concerns of the sisterly Gulf states, thereby ensuring the preservation of Arab national security and the achievement of safety and stability in the region.
