Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates, met, on Sunday, with Hakan Fidan, Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of their participation in the Quadrilateral Ministerial Meeting held in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.
The discussions focused on ways to elevate bilateral relations between the two nations.
Both ministers reaffirmed their commitment to building upon the ongoing positive momentum in Egyptian-Turkish ties, emphasizing the importance of intensifying joint efforts to bolster economic and trade cooperation.
The talks also highlighted rapid regional developments. The ministers reviewed intensive ongoing efforts to develop cooperation within the quadrilateral framework—comprising Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan—across various sectors.
Furthermore, they addressed the joint endeavors of Egypt, Turkey, and Pakistan to de-escalate regional tensions and prioritize diplomatic solutions to shield the region from the risks of sliding into total chaos.
The meeting also featured an exchange of views on several regional issues of mutual concern, foremost among them the developments regarding the Palestinian cause and the current situation in the Horn of Africa.
