Prime Minister (PM) Dr. Mostafa Madbouly met on Wednesday, his Swedish Counterpart Ulf Kristersson.
This came on the sidelines of his participation in the second day of the World Economic Forum (Davos 2025) in Switzerland, representing President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Kristersson expressed gratitude to Egypt, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, for its efforts in securing a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
He emphasized his hopes for the continuation of efforts to implement all phases of the agreement and to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Strip.
Kristersson also expressed optimism for the success of ongoing efforts to achieve security and stability in the Middle East.
In response, PM expressed his appreciation for the Swedish Prime Minister and reiterated Egypt’s commitment to strengthening cooperation across various fields.
Moreover, Madbouly affirmed Egypt's ongoing efforts to follow through with the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid, given the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza.
He also emphasized President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s continuous efforts to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East region.
