Russian Delegation Visits Egyptian Space Agency on World Space Day

A delegation from the Russian Cultural Center, led by Murad Gatin, commemorated World Space Day with a visit to the Egyptian Space Agency.

There, they paid tribute to Yuri Gagarin, the first human in space, by laying flowers at his statue. The visit included young individuals from both Egypt and Russia, highlighting the ongoing cultural exchange and educational collaboration between the two countries.

During the visit, the attendees were given a tour of the agency, where they were introduced to its current activities and the latest enhancements to its operational systems. Murad Gatin, the director of Russian Cultural Centers in Egypt, emphasized the significance of World Space Day.

He mentioned that the celebration traditionally includes screenings of documentaries about the history of space exploration, particularly focusing on Gagarin’s historic and unparalleled journey into space. Gatin expressed his appreciation for the Egyptian Space Agency’s continuous partnership.

Dr. Sherif Sedky, the CEO of the Egyptian Space Agency, warmly welcomed the Russian delegation's annual visit, reaffirming the agency’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with Russia. This collaboration aims to strengthen bilateral relations in the field of space exploration and development.
