The Arab Republic of Egypt, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan issued a joint statement this evening, Friday, regarding the meeting of the delegation of the Ministerial Committee assigned by the Extraordinary Joint Arab-Islamic Summit regarding developments in the Gaza Strip with the French Foreign Minister in Paris.
The joint statement stated that within the framework of the efforts of the Ministerial Committee assigned by the Extraordinary Joint Arab-Islamic Summit regarding developments in the Gaza Strip, the delegation of the Ministerial Committee, headed by Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Ayman Safadi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan; and Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, held a meeting, Friday, with Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic Jean-Noël, at the headquarters of the French Foreign Ministry in Paris.
The meeting discussed international efforts aimed at ending the war on the Gaza Strip and allowing the flow of humanitarian aid into the Strip. It also discussed strengthening joint efforts to halt the violations perpetrated by the Israeli occupation authorities against the Palestinian people and the occupied territories, which violate international laws, norms, and international humanitarian law.
It also discussed supporting efforts to achieve peace in the region and implement the two-state solution in accordance with relevant international laws, thus achieving security and prosperity for the region.
The meeting also reviewed ongoing preparations for the high-level international conference on the two-state solution, which will be held at the United Nations headquarters in New York in June, under the co-chairmanship of Saudi Arabia and France.
