Egyptian Foreign Minister (FM) Dr. Badr Abdelatty held a phone call on Sunday with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan.
The call comes as part of ongoing coordination between the two brotherly nations to follow up on efforts aimed at restoring a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and ensuring the implementation of its three phases, amid the dangerous escalation by Israel in the region.
The two ministers also discussed the next steps of the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee and its engagement with international parties concerning the Arab plan for early recovery and reconstruction in Gaza.
Additionally, they reviewed the situation regarding several regional issues, exchanging views on the latest developments.
Both sides stressed the importance of continued joint coordination to de-escalate tensions and to prevent the region from sliding into further instability.
