Egyptian, Saudi Air Forces Wrap up 'Faisal 12' Exercises

Egyptian-Saudi Air Exercises "Faisal 12" wrapped up on Sunday in Saudi Arabia, which continued for several days.

The operations included hitting hostile targets, and fending off attacks against vital utilities using multirole combat aircraft. According to the press statement, the exercises showed the high level of competency enjoyed by the forces of both countries.

The drills included various training activities and several joint training air sorties as well as the exchange of training and tactical experiences in planning, implementation, command and control methods.

The drills came within the framework of developing military relations and joint cooperation between the Egyptian Air Forces and their counterparts from neighboring countries.

Egyptian Air Forces Commander Lt. General Mohamed Abbas Helmi and Major General Laurent Lherbette, of the French Air Forces attended the drills along with a number of air forces commanders from Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
