The Egyptian-Russian Foundation for Culture and Science published a new book "100 Miracles in the Universe."
President of the Egyptian-Russian Culture and Science Foundation Hussein El-Shafei said that the issue was published in a well-recognized encyclopedia "Encyclopedia of the World of Youth."
He added that the book enriches thought and opens eyes to the secrets and miracles of the universe.
At the beginning of the book, the narrator explains that the most notable miracle in the universe is the universe itself. The sky has been filled with stars since ancient times, and so it is not strange that we are the linear sons of this universe. Our planet is not very big, it is a small part of the Milky Way galaxy in an infinite giant universe.
The book added that Light is the fastest on the planet, with a speed of 300,000 km/h and recognizing the speed of light, we can recognize the vastness of the universe. Light comes in a second or more of the moon, the nearest celestial object on earth. Sunlight travels at the speed of light. It takes sunlight an average of 8 minutes and 20 seconds to travel from the Sun to the Earth.
In addition, It takes about five hours for the light to reach planet Pluto. In November 2013, the Voyager 1 probe was the farthest from Earth with around 17 light-years away. The light from the next star takes about four years.
There are huge and unimaginable distances in the universe because the light emitted by them takes a long time to reach us, and our star system, the Milky Way galaxy, extends over 100,000 light-years in all its stars, planets and star clusters and destroys them.
The Andromeda Galaxy is the closest galaxy to us, and even though it's bound to the Milky Way by gravity, it's not the closest galaxy for being two million light-years away. The rest of the galaxies are millions and billions of light-years away. It is expected that the distance between stars will be over soon. However, humans have observed this concept 400 years ago with the help of telescopes, radio telescopes, and astronomy.
The mysterious, magnificent and majestic outer space is filled with amazing celestial bodies and recognizing them will provide us a wonderful ambiance. In this book, miracles in the universe are truly assembled.
The book was written by Irina Bazdanya Bay and translated by Yara Al-Nahas.
