The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) launched its 187th aid convoy, titled "Zad Al-Izza – From Egypt to Gaza," today.
The convoy, consisting of a fleet of trucks, is en route to the Gaza Strip as part of the ERC's role as the national coordinating mechanism for humanitarian aid to the region.
The convoy carries approximately 3,725 tons of comprehensive humanitarian aid, including food baskets, flour, medical supplies, relief materials, and fuel to power hospitals and vital facilities within the Strip.
The Egyptian Red Crescent also bolstered its support for the people of Gaza by providing essential supplies, including clothing, blankets, tarpaulins, and tents to shelter those affected by the crisis.
The Egyptian Red Crescent has been present at the border since the beginning of the crisis.
The Rafah crossing has remained open on the Egyptian side throughout, and the organization has maintained constant readiness across all its logistics centers. Its persistent efforts have facilitated the delivery of over 950,000 tons of humanitarian and relief aid, supported by the dedication of more than 65,000 volunteers.
