Egyptian-Qatari Follow-up Committee Sign MoU in Doha

The Egyptian-Qatari Follow-up Committee met in Doha to sign a number of bilateral agreements, including a number of memoranda of understanding to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two countries.

The meeting was held on Tuesday by Yasser Othman, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, and Ali Al-Hajri, Special Envoy of the Qatari Foreign Minister for Regional Affairs.

The legal committee was also held under the chairmanship of Moustafa El Bahabety, Deputy Justice Minister, and Ambassador Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Thani, Head of the Legal Department at the Qatari Foreign Ministry.

The meetings resulted in reaching agreement on the issues on the agenda of the committees, and signing a number of bilateral memoranda of understanding (MoU) between the two countries to enhance cooperation and coordination between the competent authorities in them.

The Egyptian National Post Authority (NPA) also signed a MoU and a cooperation protocol in the field of postal cooperation with the Qatar Postal Service. In addition, the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority signed a MoU in the field of air transport with the Civil Aviation Authority of Qatar.

This step comes within the framework of completing the process of strengthening relations between the two  countries and the current work to push forward the bilateral relations between them.
